How we protect you
Built on secure foundations
Encryption everywhere
All data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and encrypted at rest in our database. Your customer conversations are never stored or transmitted in plain text.
Per-business data isolation
Every business's conversations, knowledge base, and customer data are logically separated. Your data is never visible to, or mixed with, another business on ChatBiz.
PCI-DSS compliant payments
All card payments are processed directly through Paystack, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider. ChatBiz never sees or stores your customers' card details.
Secure authentication
Account passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Session tokens are signed and expire automatically to keep your dashboard access secure.
Official WhatsApp infrastructure
We connect to your customers exclusively through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Cloud API — the same infrastructure Meta itself operates on, not a third-party workaround.
Regular backups
Your knowledge base, conversation history, and order data are backed up regularly, so a technical issue on our end never means losing your business data.

Access your data anytime
Every conversation, order, and knowledge base file you upload is visible and exportable from your dashboard at any time — nothing is hidden from you.
Delete your data on request
Close your account and request deletion at any time. We remove your business data from our systems in line with NDPR data subject rights.
We never sell your data
Your customer conversations and business information are never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes — ever.
You control the AI's knowledge
The AI only ever answers from the product lists, prices, and FAQs you explicitly upload. It cannot access anything outside what you've given it.
Aligned with NDPR
ChatBiz handles personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), and payments are processed exclusively through Paystack's PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure — we never store card details ourselves.

Is ChatBiz compliant with Nigerian data protection law?
Yes. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), including your customers' right to know what data is collected and how it's used.
Can ChatBiz staff read my customer conversations?
Access to conversation data is restricted to what's strictly necessary for support and platform operation, and is logged. We do not read conversations for any other purpose.
What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?
Your data remains accessible for a grace period after cancellation in case you resubscribe, after which it is permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion.
Does Meta or WhatsApp see my customer messages?
Messages pass through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Cloud API to be delivered, which is the same infrastructure any verified WhatsApp Business integration uses. This is Meta's standard, documented API behavior for all businesses using WhatsApp Business.
